description?Joy Willis was born on 5th February, 1926 at St. Marys. Joy attended school in St Marys and Penrith. After leaving school Joy worked for Manpower, who would place her at various locations doing 'war work', until the end of World War 2 in 1945. Joy married in 1947 and the couple built a new home on her father's land, next door to where Joy had grown up.
